Reports

What is included in GBNAT reports?

GBNAT performs a location evaluation using the selected data layers. Users can use multiple locations for evaluation. Plus, species diversity information are provided. Further, GBNAT reports calculate rankings for biodiversity metrics among multiple locations. In detailed reports, a list of threatened species likely to occur in selected locations are provided. Data

When are data in GBNAT compiled?

Please refer to the technical documents. Source of the data are listed in documents attatched in your purchased contents.

How often are GBNAT spcies distribution datasets updated?

For species data, distribution estimates are based on the most recent data available in 2023.
Estimates will be updated in the future to take account of climate change and land-use change.
The biodiversity index derived from the estimated species distributions represents the characteristics of the species pool (potentially distributed collection of species) for each location under macro-environmental conditions (10 arcminute grid scale).

How did you create the water and forest data?

We compile spatial data on forest area changes, human footprint changes and occurrences water-related disasters from a variety of scientific sources. Depending on the data source, we model the values using the latest climate and land use data. For details, please refer to the technical document.
